Queen's Project on International Development (QPID) is hiring for their 2023-2024 executive team! QPID is a student-run organization with a variety of portfolios operating jointly to achieve QPID’s mandate of fostering a development consciousness in the Queen’s community as a catalyst for local and global change.

The following positions are available:

EDII Executive (1 position available)- Will be responsible to assist the EDII director in equity based initiatives for the QPID team and Queen’s students. This role is new and will allow for the executive to shape the role for years to come.

Community Outreach Coordinator (2)- The Community Outreach Coordinator (s) will organize and execute a fall semester fundraiser/event in support of a local NGO. They will also be responsible for planning, advertising and coordinating the Collecting with QPID campaign in conjunction with the Kingston Youth Shelter.

Forum Coordinator (2)- The Forum Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing multiple one hour public forums on various topics within international development per semester. This involves booking speakers, organizing case competitions/activities, facilitating debates.

Youth Conference Coordinator (2)- The Youth Conference Coordinator will be responsible for planning and running a one day conference on a specific topic within global development to a large group of delegates from local area junior/high schools (grades 7 to 12).

Workshops Coordinator (2)- The Workshops Coordinators will be responsible for presenting a series of development workshops in local Kingston schools. Workshops Coordinators are also expected to create new workshops and/or modify existing ones to keep up with changes in the Ontario curriculum.

Internships Manager (2)- The internships managers will be responsible for creating and implementing a detailed education plan that will fully prepare interns for their upcoming summer roles abroad.

Finance Executive (1)- The Finance Executive is centrally involved in the financial aspects of QPID and works closely with the Finance Director to keep track of all QPID’s deposits and payments, and works closely with the Internship portfolio, sponsorship team and other C&C executive teams.

Sponsorship Coordinator (1)- This position entails responsibility for raising funds for the organization’s operations for the current and upcoming year(s) through external and internal sponsorship.

Marketing Executive (2)- Will be responsible for the creation of all promotional materials and graphics for QPID's events, including forums, the fall Community Outreach event and CwQ campaign. Will be responsible for overseeing a committee of 2-3 members and responsibly delegating jobs.

Monitoring and Evaluations (1)- The Monitoring and Evaluations Executive is QPID’s form of internal accountability. M&E’s principal role is to collect and analyze feedback on QPID’s wide array of initiatives and report back to respective executives and directors.
