This representative sits on the Equity Team and works closely with both the Director of Social Issues and Equity Team Chair. The Equity Team supports and organizes Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigeneity, Accessibility, and Sustainability (EDII-AS) related planning and initiatives within the Engineering Society. The International Student representative represents the international community within the Engineering Society by coordinating equity initiatives, reviewing current society practices, and acting as a resource to engineering students.
Responsibilities include attending weekly equity team meetings to discuss relevant information and feedback, communicating with clubs and groups involved in supporting the international students at Queen's, planning and coordinating relevant equity initiatives and events, reviewing current society practices, and acting as a resource to engineering students.
Skills and abilities that would be an asset in this position include:
