The Sexual Violence Prevention and Response (SVPR) Lead works closely with the Human Rights and Equity Services (HREO) and other Faculty Societies to lead the society in education and training. This role's main goal is to ensure there is consistent knowledge of available resources, support, and options as well as pursuing new initiatives.

Role responsibilities include:

- Researching and reviewing SVPR trainings, workshops and programs available within Queen’s University and implementing them within EngSoc where applicable.

- Collaborating with the SVPR Office (HREO) and Faculty Societies on various initiatives to promote a healthy consent culture.

- Assisting the SVPR Office (HREO) in implementing SVPR education within the Smith Engineering curriculum.

- Working with the Director of Human Resources and Director of Equity and Advocacy to ensure training and practices are considered from an SVPR lens.

- Collaborate with the ASUS SVPR Director in facilitating semesterly Coalitions to highlight prevalent SVPR issues across the university.

- Ensure senior leadership positions are equipped to guide survivors to proper resources and support, while also protecting themselves.

- Attend and be an active member of the SVPR Education Advisory Group.

- The SVPR Lead is not responsible for directly supporting survivors. They ensure accessibility to existing and available support within the University.
