Water Team is responsible for helping the incoming class climb the grease pole. They have authority at the Pole and ensure safety and comfort for all. The Head of Water Team (HOWT) should work well under pressure to lead the Water Team and maintain a safe and organized pole climb. They will also have a strong understanding of how the grease pole climb has run in the past. Responsibilities of the HOWT include:
- Helping hire senior and junior members of Water Team
- Working with external stakeholders and presenting at several safety and logistics meetings throughout the school year
- Working closely with members of the FREC Committee to run training for the FRECs before Orientation Week
- Leading training for incoming students during Orientation Week
Applicants should be strong leaders who are responsible, can work independently, and are focused on maintaining the safety of the longstanding tradition of the grease pole climb.
