The Queen's Vertical Farming Team, founded in 2019, is Canada's first undergraduate engineering team of its kind. Recognizing this rapidly emerging industry, QVFT is designing and building a functional, software-automated aeroponic vertical farm on Queen's University campus. The majority of existing research in this field is conducted privately and is thus inaccessible to the public. Through its open-source approach, QVFT aims to democratize vertical farming knowledge and research.

The Business Team within QVFT focuses on outreach to acquire industry partnerships and research grants. This team primarily works to involve QVFT in conferences both within and outside of the Queen's community and builds partnerships with other aligned teams at Queen's. This team is also responsible for our social media presence on Instagram.
