This representative sits on the Equity Team and works closely with both the Director of Social Issues and Equity Team Chair. The Equity Team supports and organizes Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigeneity, Accessibility, and Sustainability (EDII-AS) related planning and initiatives within the Engineering Society. The role of the Accessibility Representative is to provide a voice on behalf of the many and varied students who are a part of engineering at Queen's, and to express the ways in which the student body can be better accommodated as a whole. If you are passionate about equity and making improvements to current practices, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities include attending weekly equity team meetings to discuss relevant information and feedback, communicating with clubs and groups involved in recognizing and advocating for accessibility at Queen's, planning and coordinating relevant equity initiatives, reviewing current society practices, and acting as a resource to engineering students.

Applicants should be withhold the following traits:

- Passion for physical, digital, and cognitive accessibility in engineering and within EngSoc

- Works effectively in a team

- Good time management and organizational skills

- Good communication skills

- Creativity

- Can take initiative
