The Queen's Global Energy Conference (QGEC) is an annual undergraduate, student-run conference. Our mission is to provide an unbiased platform where representatives from all facets of the energy sector can share their voices. We aim to foster meaningful discussions about the past, current, and future of the energy sector. Through QGEC, delegates will be exposed to career opportunities in the energy sector and will have the opportunity to connect with industry leaders and stakeholders.

We are currently hiring new executive team members for the 2022-2023 year! A list of available positions and their descriptions are provided below. Please note that you are allowed to apply for multiple positions, just remember to clarify which ones!

Marketing Director

  • Develop a marketing plan for the year
  • Run our Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn pages
  • Delegates, delegates, delegates! Market QGEC on campus and virtually
  • Graphic design and artistic abilities are an asset

Speakers Coordinator

  • Work as part of the Speakers Team to recruit and organize speakers for the conference and fall taster event
  • Maintain communication with our speakers throughout the year and at our conference
  • Moderate and introduce speakers at the conference

Sponsorship Coordinator

  • Work as part of the Sponsorship Team to manage professional relationships with corporations and participate in community outreach
  • Secure funding and support from internal and external sponsors
  • Create delegate bag prizes and assist with speaker gifts

Logistics and Finance Coordinator

  • Work as part of the Logistics and Finance Team to develop a schedule for the conference and create the event budget
  • Organize the hospitality and amenities for in-person events

First-Year Coordinator

  • Promote the conference to fellow first-year students
  • Assist other sub-teams with new and ongoing projects

      Interview Information:

      Interviews will be held between October 4-6, in the evenings (7-9:30 PM). Please let us know if you are unavailable on all of these dates.
