The Engineering Society Advisory Board oversees the long-term financial and strategic planning of the Engineering Society, its services (Clark, CEO, Tea Room, EngLinks, iCons, Golden Words, Science Quest), and its corporate initiatives (Sci Formal and O-Week). This year, Board is taking on 4 new members in 2 one-year positions and 2 two-year positions.
This is a unique opportunity to create a meaningful and long-lasting impact on the Society with a limited time commitment. It is also an exciting way to learn more about the inner workings of some of EngSoc's coolest organizations (yay services and corporate initiatives!!).
Responsibilities:
- Attend Advisory Board meetings, typically held 4-5 times per term, and ~2 in the summer.
- Provide input on budgets, strategic plans, and organizational initiatives.
- Collaborate with fellow board members to brainstorm ways to enhance EngSoc's services and corporate initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
- Bring your fresh perspectives and ideas to the table to enhance EngSoc's financial and long-term performance.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Passion to learn about all things budget-related, as well as strategic thinking.
- Have a commitment to attending meetings and actively participating in Board discussions to solve problems.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills

Successful applicants will receive a nomination for the position, and all nominees will go up for election at EngSoc's Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 7th. Fun!
