Description

The Queen's Space Engineering Team (QSET) is a large multi-disciplinary team consisting of 100+ students from all engineering disciplines and various faculties. Our team will be designing a Satellite to enter the Canadian Satellite Design Challenge (for more information https://www.csdcms.ca/). The goal for this team is to launch a project into orbit to perform an actual mission in outer space.

The ADCS (Attitude Determination and Control System) Manager oversees the continuing development of hardware and software that determines and controls the satellite’s orientation. Current work involves basic PID control software development, EC motor reaction wheel (flywheels) implementation, and the creation of a sensor suite that can monitor attitude and sun angle.

The Queen’s Space Engineering Team encourages applications from women, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ2S+ community. If you require accommodations during the interview process, please contact qset @ engsoc.queensu.ca.
