The Queen's Relectric Car Team (QRCT) is dedicated to retrofitting old combustion engine vehicles with new Electric Vehicle (EV) systems. We are creating solutions for mechanical, electrical, and thermal systems to develop a framework for widespread adoption, reducing the waste generated by the global EV revolution. By continuously striving to improve our approach to EV conversions, we additionally enable hands-on experiences for our undergraduate student members with modern automotive technology.

QRCT is looking for individuals with a keen interest in our work to contribute to our mission in a leadership role. The Logistics Team Lead oversees Relectric’s industry research and fosters relationships in the Kingston community to stimulate opportunities to showcase the team’s work. This position is perfect for those interested in industry analysis and fostering external relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development of Relectric’s industry articles, leading members to relevant topics, resources, and writing guidelines.
  • Coordinate internal events including, but not limited to, team socials and potential guest speaker events facilitated by the Finance Team.
  • Engage with other Queen’s University design teams and clubs to explore collaboration opportunities and community involvement, respectively.
  • Showcase Relectric’s mission and technical progress at conferences, speaker panels, etc.
  • Facilitate goal setting and progress analysis with project teams.
