This representative sits on the Equity Team and works closely with both the Director of Social Issues and Equity Team Chair. Equity Team supports and organizes Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigeneity, Accessibility and Sustainability (EDII-AS) related planning and initiatives within the Engineering Society. The Environmental Sustainability Representative acts as an advocate for environmental well-being on behalf of the student body to the Engineering Society by coordinating relevant equity initiatives, reviewing current society practices, and acting as a resource to engineering students. The Environmental Sustainability Representative is a managerial role as they also manage/run the Sustainability Committee. The Committee is responsible for helping the Society create sustainable practices within the Engineering Society. Applicants should have strong logistical, time management, leadership, and organizational skills. As well as being passionate about supporting and creating sustainability initiatives for the Engineering Society.
