The Queen’s Biomedical Innovation Team (QBiT) is an interdisciplinary design team that designs, prototypes, and tests new, innovative biomedical devices to address healthcare concerns both globally and in our local community.
For the 2025-26 school year, QBiT will be working on 3 projects related to global health:
Position Description:
1 Chief Communications Officer (CCO) will be hired. The role of the CCO is to oversee and manage all of QBiT’s external communications and events.
The CCO will oversee the Director of Marketing, Director of Outreach, and the Webmaster. If application for CCO is unsuccessful, you will automatically be considered for the Director of Marketing, the Director of Outreach, or Webmaster.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing organization of social events for executive and general members
- Maintaining relationships with other university clubs and organizations
- Keeping track and managing all on-going social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) and website
- Regularly updating social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) and website
- Regularly attending executive meetings and providing updates
- Overseeing directors of marketing and outreach
Ideal qualities:
- Strong self-initiative
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent teamwork
- Takes initiative outside of regular meeting times to further create relationships and promote QBiT
Interview info:
Interviews will take place during the weekends of May 23rd to 25th and May 30th to June 1st.
