This representative sits on the Equity Team and works closely with both the Director of Social Issues and Equity Team Chair. The Equity Team supports and organizes Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigeneity, Accessibility, and Sustainability (EDII-AS) related planning and initiatives within the Engineering Society. The Diversity Representative represents the cultural diversity in the student body to the Engineering Society by coordinating relevant equity initiatives, reviewing current society practices, and acting as a resource to engineering students. You will ensure that cultural diversity is accounted for in all current and future initiatives the Equity Team plans.

Responsibilities include attending weekly equity team meetings to discuss relevant information and feedback, communicating with clubs and groups involved in recognizing and celebrating diversity in STEM students at Queen's, planning and coordinating relevant equity initiatives, reviewing current society practices, and acting as a resource to engineering students.
