General: The ThankQ Representative is responsible for coordinating the specified gift that is given by the graduating year to the University (specifically, those associated with Smith Engineering, as the position is an unpaid EngSoc position). They will need to establish a relationship with the Alumni Affairs ThankQ Coordinator (as indicated in the March 2022 By Law manual).

Position-specific: The major tasks include working with the Alumni Affairs ThankQ Coordinator to understand what the specified budget is for the specialized gift. Note that raising funds is open-ended and up to the individual on how they would like to do it within the student body. The estimated time commitment is approximately 3 hours per week, where most of the time should be dedicated to reaching out to the student body to raise funds and the Dean on how to obtain a specialized gift. The direct supervisor is Andrew Wierzbowski, the 2023-2024 Sci '24 President (contact info. will be provided upon hiring).

Ideal skills: Ideal candidates would be able to...

1. Proactively address problem areas with respect to funding for the ThankQ specialized gift

2. Respond to routine information such as efficient email or in-person communication with the Dean and appropriate Alumni representative

3. Work under pressure given a small time commitment
