The Tea Room Head Manager will oversee all operations of The Tea Room as well as lead the Café's management team and staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Hiring both Assistant Managers and staff
- Creating a strategic plan and operational budget for the business year
- Driving overall strategic direction of the Tea Room and facilitating long-term planning
- Performing financial and operational reviews
- Planning and coordinating staff training
- Support and oversee Assistant Managers in all aspects of their portfolios (Operations, Business, and Environmental/Marketing)
- Maintain weekly communication with Assistant Managers and staff
- Engaging students, alumni, administration, media, and other stakeholders to further the educational goals of the Tea Room
- Monitor financial information, compile reports, and service record keeping
- The Head Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the service during the summer
- Scheduling staff shifts and dealing with day-to-day human resources issues of the business
- Working regularly scheduled Supervisor shifts
- Day-to-day operations (opening, closing, cash handling)

- Engineering Society Director of Retail Services
- Engineering Society Vice-President (Operations)
Work Term:
- May 1st, 2025 to April 30th, 2026
- This is not a paid position during the summer, however, a strategic plan and budget must be created during the summer
Salary/Time Commitment:
- $345 Week Salaried
- 20 hours expected per week
- Salary is non-negotiable
