The Queen’s Rocket Engineering Team (QRET) is a passionate group of undergraduate students dedicated to designing, building, testing, and launching rockets up to 10,000ft for international competitions. Beyond launching rockets, we strive to provide every member with opportunities to learn, develop industry-transferable skills, and collaborate on an incredible cross-disciplinary project.
We are hiring multiple Vice Presidents to join our executive leadership team for the upcoming year. These roles are open to students from all faculties, with both technical and non-technical backgrounds. Whether your expertise lies in rocket systems or business strategy, your leadership can help propel QRET to greater success.
What You’ll Do as a VP:
- Hire and lead the administrative team
- Oversee technical projects and operational logistics
- Maintain and grow relationships with key stakeholders
- Ensure subteam progress and accountability
- Lead the creation of competition deliverables
We’re Looking for VPs with Focus in:
Technical Leadership:
- Solid or hybrid rocket systems
- Project management for complex technical designs
Operations & Business Strategy:
- Logistics planning and resource management
- Sponsorship development and outreach
- Event coordination and marketing strategies
Must-Have Skills:
- Leadership and team management experience
- Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
- Collaboration mindset and a vision for success
