The mission of the Queen’s Aero Design Team is to provide unique opportunities to students at Queen’s University to learn, explore, & experience aircraft design and construction, in a team environment. The Queen’s Aero Design Team aims to develop innovative designs focused around heavy lifting and drone technology. We seek to improve members communication, leadership, and project management skills, as well as develop engineering and design skills.

The logistics lead is responsible for all things beyond the actual design and construction of the flight system. Some things the lead would do are as follows.

  • Communicate team events and upcoming events for the team
  • Update the team on upcoming deadlines related to the competition
  • Familiarize themselves with aerial flight system regulations in Ontario/Canada
  • Plan out methods to get to the competition

The lead will work alongside the team captain to organize and communicate events, as well as deadlines for the competition.

The logistics executive should possess all of the following skills:

Must Haves

  • Willingness to learn new concepts
  • Leadership skills
  • Good teamwork skills
  • Organizational skills

The executive does not need to have the following skills, but it would be nice for them to posses them:

Nice to Haves

  • Basic understanding of office
  • Good communicational skills
