Queen’s Knights Robotics Team (QKRT)
Queen’s Knights Robotics Team is a student-run organization at Queen's University. QKRT is a close-knit, interdisciplinary group of ambitious students dedicated to creating advanced robots for the North American RoboMaster competition. Business team members will gain experience in financial documentation, sponsor management, social media engagement, and competition logistics, with a focus on collaboration among team members. We are currently seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our 2023-24 Business Team! The positions we are currently hiring are Finance Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, Sponsorship Coordinator, and Marketing Coordinator. Please find the position descriptions below.
Finance Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Manage financial records and track all cash flows through the Bank of EngSoc finance system
- Communicate with technical team leads to keep track of credit card reimbursements
- Manage budget for North American RoboMaster competition trip including travel costs, accommodations, etc
Members will gain experience in:
- Financial record and cash flow management
- Strong organizational and managerial competencies
- Communication proficiency and interpersonal skills
Logistics Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate transportation and accommodations for club members to the North American RoboMaster competition
- Maintain an inventory of club-owned equipment, supplies, and materials
- Plan and coordinate logistics for club events, meetings, workshops, and projects, including venue selection, setup, and tear-down
Members will gain experience in:
- Gaining a deep understanding of logistics operations and problem-solving skills in complex logistical scenarios
- Organizational and multitasking skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills
Sponsorship Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Identify and approach businesses for financial support and partnerships
- Create and update sponsorship packages and proposals tailored to meet the needs and interests of potential sponsors
- Prepare grant applications and proposals to secure additional funding for club activities and projects
Members will gain experience in:
- Negotiation and networking skills
- Written and verbal communication abilities
- Acquiring proficiency in grant application and proposal writing
Marketing Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the maintenance and updates of the QKRT website
- Create unique and engaging social media posts to enhance the brand
- Collaborate closely with the sponsorship coordinator to assist in marketing efforts targeting sponsors
Members will gain experience in:
- Developing design skills, including graphics and visual content creation
- Strong management skills in coordinating and executing marketing strategies
- Data analysis and using metrics to refine and optimize marketing campaigns
