As an EngLinks tutor, you are responsible for educating students in need. The Workshops and Resources Tutors are contracted by EngLinks when necessary to:

1. Run generalized workshops for large groups of students. These workshops encompass entire courses or subjects, and are usually organized to run around the time of a certain courses midterm or final.

2. Update and develop EngLinks resources to create longstanding content that can be used by students in less formal settings. These include, but are not limited to, course overviews that can be printed out and reviewed at home.

3. Assist in running the Douglas help desk and any other pop-up EngLinks Service

This is a paid position, varying in payment based on the contracted activities, but more importantly it offers the opportunity to help a lot of people in truly meaningful ways. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the incoming EngLinks Head Manager.

Video applications are accepted year-round, and may not be longer than 5 minutes. In the video, please do the following:

  1. Introduce yourself, along with your year and discipline
    Then Answer the following questions
  2. What impact do EngLinks resources have on the engineering community?
  3. What is the importance of being prepared for workshops?
  4. How would you go about creating an inclusive and accessible workshop environment?

  5. Please teach a 2 minute lesson on an engineering course topic of your choice. Examples may include integration by parts, rotational dynamics or equilibrium.
