The main goal of the Industry Relations Committee: Provide Queen’s students with the opportunities and resources to help them connect with and stand out to employers.

Description:
The Industry Relations Chair leads the Industry Relations Committee and oversees all of its initiatives. They are responsible for maintaining and growing the relationships between Queen’s undergraduate engineers and industry representatives from a large variety of companies. They work closely with staff in the FEAS Corporate Relations Team to organize company information sessions for students. They are also responsible for running the Professional Development Team’s resume review service. This is an excellent opportunity to support your peers while also developing your own networking and professional skills. There is also a lot of room for growth in this portfolio if you have your own ideas on how to increase students’ industry connections. Applicants should demonstrate strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

Note: No experience is required for this position. You will have the opportunity to expand your professional development knowledge in this role.

Time commitment:

  • 🗓️ 1 weekly meeting with the Director of Professional Development
  • 🗓️ 1 weekly meeting with the Industry Relations Committee
  • 📌 Additional time spent organizing industry events with your team
