Are you a third-year engineering student looking to take the lead on the 123rd Science Formal? As the Finance Chair, you'll play a key role in maintaining the finances for the year-end event that celebrates our graduating Engineers at Grant Hall.
As the Finance Chair, you'll oversee the development and maintenance of the Science Formal budget, which operates annually at approximately $80,000. This involves attention to detail and regular communication with the other chairs to ensure the budget is maintained. You'll oversee a Sponsorship Manager and a Finance Manager.
The rest of this Winter you'll help run this year's Sci Formal. After that, you will be planning for Sci Formal in March 2026.
Applicants should possess the following skills/ qualities:
- Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills
- An interest in finance
- Some proficiency in MS Office Excel
- Interest in project/people management
- Dedication to the event
- Time management and organizational skills
This position is open to third-year engineering students not going on internship.
