The Queen's Vertical Farming Team (QVFT) is Canada's first undergraduate engineering team of its kind. Recognizing this rapidly emerging industry, QVFT is designing and building a functional, software-automated aeroponic vertical farm on Queen's University campus. The majority of existing research in this field is conducted privately and is thus inaccessible to the public. About the director position

We are looking for a director who will take full control over all company's strategic and business aspects. You will be responsible for giving the proper strategic direction as well as creating a vision for success, helping to drive the company’s development and guide it towards long-term success.

We expect you to be a strong director and an inspiring leader, with a strong engineering and business mindset. Ideally the candite should have 1 year experience on the Queen's Vertical Farming Team.

Director responsibilities are:

  • Organize and engage team members, leading them and helping to develop a high performing managerial team.

  • Build high quality business and engineering strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives of the team.
