This representative sits on the Equity Team and works closely with both the Director of Social Issues and Equity Team Chair. The Equity Team supports and organizes Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigeneity, Accessibility, and Sustainability (EDII-AS) related planning and initiatives within the Engineering Society. The role of the Mental Health Representative is to advocate for the mental health and well-being of the student body to the Engineering Society. If you are passionate about equity and making improvements to current practices, this is the role for you!
Responsibilities include attending weekly equity team meetings to discuss relevant information and feedback, communicating with clubs and groups involved in recognizing and advocating for the mental well-being of students at Queen's, planning and coordinating relevant equity initiatives and events, reviewing current society practices, and acting as a resource to engineering students.
Skills and abilities that would be an asset in this position include:
- Passion for inclusivity, mental health advocacy and representation in engineering and within EngSoc

- Good communication skills
- Can take initiative
