Science Quest is operated by three undergraduate students: the Head Manager, the Business and Operations Manager, and the Marketing and Materials Manager. These three will work with one another, along with the Engineering Society Vice President of Operations and Director of Educational Services, to provide vision and leadership for Science Quest during their respective terms.
The major roles of the Science Quest Business and Operations Manager include:
- Preparing the annual budget in consultation with the Science Quest Head Manager.
- Updating actuals throughout the operating year.
- Working with the other Science Quest Managers to prepare and submit strategic and capital plans for the Advisory Board.
- Completing month-end reports for all months of operation.
- Completing all daily business duties including the creation of receipts, deposits and cheque requisitions.
- Ensuring payroll is entered properly for all staff.
- Handling childcare and camp forms during camp operations.
- Completing all room bookings for Science Quest operations.
- Overseeing the operations of the lunch and bus programs during camp.
Skills and interests that will be considered an asset for these positions include:
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Interest in small business management and finances
- Strong ability to research and learn independently
- Ability to motivate self and the rest of the management team
- Extensive time management and organizational skills

Work Term:
January 1st 2025 to December 31st, 2025 (part-time during the school year, full-time from May 2025 to August 2025)
Salary/Time Commitment:
- The positions will be paid part-time during the school year salaried at $60/week (subject to approval) and paid full-time May-August salaried at $700/week (subject to approval). Estimated hours: about 35 hours/week
- This pay rate includes 4% vacation pay
- Salary is non-negotiable
